List is working fine and a short bio

Richard,

Everything seems to be working fine. Problem is that no threads
have started yet so what needs to be done to get this list going
is for members to ask questions, or post comments about some
Korean War-related subject or event in which they have an interest.
A good number have signed up for this list already so there is a
pool of knowledgeable people who should be able to respond.

My area is special operations circa 1950-1952. I started the war
as an infantry grunt but later was transferred the 8th Army G-3
Miscellaneous Group, 8086th AU (partisans and special operations.)
The Misc. Gp. was later absorbed by Far East Command and became the
Far East Command Liaison Detachment, Korea (FECLD-K) and the Combined
Command Reconnaissance Activities, Korea, 8240th Army Unit (CCRAK.)
FECLD-K was responsible for partisan and airborne/seaborne special
operations while CCRAK was responsible positive intelligence, that is
agents and
agent operations) Partisan Forces under FECLD-K were designated "United
Nations Partisan Forces, Korea" or UNPFK. This name changed to "United
Nations Partisan Infantry, Korea or UNPIK, in October 1952.

It would be a good idea for list members who are Korean War veterans to
post short Bios so everyone on the list will have an idea of pool of expertise.
