I'm gratified to learn
that there are still some "old folks" around, who are interested in
the "forgotten war". I have already been rewarded by the all too brief
mentions of some of the covert ops & orgs, which I encountered, during my
yrs in Asia. I'm particularly interested in any experiences which the list
members may have had, involving the collection of foreign weapons &
equipment, by Technical Inelligence personnel of the various Army technical
services. I'm attempting to compile a history of technical inelligence
activities in the US military services. Bio: John C Baker, LTC, Ord Corps, AUS,
Retired. US Army-May, 51-May, 71. 17 yrs service in Tech Intel units, including
3 yrs with the Combined Materiel Exploitation Center. MACV. Col Glenn
Muggelberg, Coll Div, J2, MACV, mentioned
running CCRAK/CCRAFE OPS, during the KW. I would guess that he was CPT/MAJ. One
of his assistants was G W Ness, who was probably a 1 LT. In 53-54, in Korea, the
Ord TI Dets had 2 jeeps for 6 men. We observed 3/4 & 2 1/2 ton trks, w/ our
bumper markings, during our travels. Discreet inquiry disclosed that the larger
vehs belonged to one of the CCRAK elements. Best regards, John
