Re: The KW List
Ed,
Pleased to make your acquaintance and thank-you for responding. At Special
Camp #2 (AKA Camp 2 Annex), were several others in addition to Naylor-Foote,
Harrison & Adams Acton; there was Harry Ettinger (the Navy pilot in the
botched rescue attempt), Felix Ferranto, John Dick, Jess McElroy, John
Beers, etc., etc., & my father, Norman E. Duquette.
I was stationed in Korea from '96-'98 and Dad came over for a visit. He was
telling me the story of a guy he was POW with by the name of Naylor-Foote
"who was always acting like he was some kind of a super spook". My Dad
first met him at Pak's Palace in Feb-Mar of '52. Naylor-Foote told my
father that if he ever got out and Naylor-Foote did not, then my Dad was to
tell the Army that he had seen Naylor-Foote and to tell them "Sea
Crack"--and they would know what that meant. I told this story to my boss
in passing one day and it was then I learned that it wasn't "Sea Crack" but
"CCRAK" (my boss had been in the 2nd Ranger Battalion and had done a bit of
research on Special Operations during the Korean War). When I saw a mention
of CCRAK last night, it naturally caught my eye.
"Snake" Harrison passed away several years ago, and as you know, Adams-Acton
did not survive the war. Do you know if Naylor-Foote is still around?

John Duquette
