I had a lengthy
discussion w/ LTC GW Ness(R) by phone, this date. I misunderstood the details of
his KW experiences, which were exchanged over several beers. He served in
CCRAFE, Jan, 53-Apr, 54. He stated that his name was unlikely to appear on any
published list since his assgnmt was SSI [highly compartmented]. He further
stated that LTC Muggelberg arrived after he had rotated, but that he worked for
Col M, in Hawaii, for 3 yrs, subsequently. He was involved in the Wolmi-do
operation & he recognized the grenade-C46 incident. He stated that Col M
returned to CONUS & entered the CA Nat GD, retiring as a BG. He[Ness] was in
Grade O-2, during the above mentioned period. He recently had his right leg
amputated, but I'm going to attempt to get him "computerized" so that
he can join the list. Best regards, jb
