Fw: Korean War, One Mans Perspective.
In addition to the LSTs, Japanese mine sweepers were active.
I am wondering if there exist any documentation of the Japanese fighting in
the Korean War.
South Korea had several LSTs and perhaps, some of the 'Japanese' LSTs were
in fact Korean?

Bill, I do not know if you know it, but 37 of the 47 LSTs used at the Inchon
Landing were Japanese. After securing Seoul the 1st Marines were taken from
Inchon to Wonsan in a large convoy of LSTs, mostly Japanese. The one I was
on was the "Q-86," I wouldn't swear to that number, but that is how I have
always remembered it. Don
