Fw: My two-cents

Good post, Marty:

As a boy of 15 and a Student Volunteers Army "soldier", I boarded an ROKN
LST. This vessel was overloaded and got stuck in the mud. It took USN
frogmen several hours to cut off the prop stuck deep in the mud. We were
towed out to the open sea by another ship.

I believe we were the last to leave Hungnam. It was Xmas eve of 1950. I
wonder if anyone has info on this incident (I believe it hit the newswire).
