ADMINISTRIVIA RE: VIRUS WARNING

The Pretty Park.exe virus about which I recently distributed a
notice has proven to be a mutation of the earlier Pretty Park.exe
worm. Symantec (Norton) recognized it and updated its definitions
to include this new strain on the 24th and placed the new
definition on its automatic update on the 27th. If you have not
updated your virus protection program since then, you should do
so now.

Viruses spread most rapidly in the first few days of their
appearance, before users have updated their protection. This
being the case, you should be alert to any attachments you might
receive. Look at them carefully before opening.

And please remember that viruses are not programmed to announce
their presence to you. The first inkling you are liable to get
that your machine is infected is a note from a friend to tell you
that you have just sent a virus to everyone in your address book.
