Re: DPRK View of Korean Air War

Good post, Cookie:

Attached is a photo of the 1st graduating class of the NKAF Academy (1948?).

I was a member of the Glider Club in junior-high (North Korea's military
academies come after junior-high). There was an air base near Hamhung (my
home-town) and we were trained by a pilot from the base.

The first air raid (Summer of 1950) I saw was by a B29 formation going after
the chemical plants of Hungnum. Two Yaks rose up and one of them got shot
down. The other got away. I thought it was a dumb thing to do.
