USS English February 1951

My father, Ted Lambert serial number 3259969, was aboard the USS English in
February of 1951. He is in the final stages of non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Last
week, he talked about his service during the Korean War. He was curious about
a submarine they downed during that time. They were sworn to secrecy at the
time, but I would love to be able to tell what country's submarine that was.
He believes it was destroyed.

Ted was actually a navy man and did TDY for the 1st Marine Division. He said
he served under Colonel Bradford.

If anyone could give me more information, or links to, on what he was part
of, I would certainly appreciate it. He refused to talk about his times in
the war. I wish he could tell me more. I do know he took part in what he says
was the biggest battle of the war, Chosen Reservior.

Thanks to all that can help me. If you knew my dad, please let me know that
also.
