Actually, the discussion is whether there were 10% of the Army, or Marine,
or Navy, or Air Force combat forces who were black. The Army and Marines
both had their quota of black truck drivers, stevedores, laundry dudes, and
trash picker-uppers.
But no service, in 1950, had an appropriate number of black combat troops.
Please! Prove me wrong, someone!
