With all the questions re/blacks in the Marine Corps at the time of the
Korean War, none of which I seem to be answering satisfactorily, I am going
to go to MajGen Ray Murray, who commanded the 5th Marines at Chosin and in
the Inchon landing, to see what he can recall about his black Marines and
I'll come back to the list with what he told me. I shall also do some
further research to see if I can answer the questions which have been
raised. BMF
