I don't know about the 6004th but I remember reading somewhere that
when UNPIK closed down in 1954 they turned over records on partisans to ROKA
so the partisans could obtain credit for military service.  It apparently 
didn't
help because a lot of former partisans were immediately drafted into ROK
military service.
