The US Navy supplies Hospital Corpsmen to the Marine Corps.  Marines refer to 
them simply as "Corpsmen".  The term "medic" is a somewhat generic reference 
and was used for the benefit of viewers of the post who were not familiar 
with the term, "Corpsman".
