You are right about memory.  There have been a number of instances where
I remember and action/incident developing and taking place one way (from my
perspective) only to discover that others involved in the same action remember
it differently, then reading the after-action reports to discover the 
official version is
different from what any of us remember.  However for Ed Daily, I can't cut 
him much
slack.  He deliberately falsified a DD-214 to support a bullshit story he 
had developed
about himself and then used the phony BS to smear a bunch of good 1st Cav
Troopers.
