There were a lot more Army troops involved, the 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th 
Infantry Division
fought delaying actions down the east side the Changjin Res. joining up 
with the Marines
at Hagari.  Also there were elements of U.S. X Corps (artillery, signal, 
etc) plus the 41 Commando.
Altogether army troops made up approximately 50% of the force.
