Re: Japan and the Korean War

                    As the Master of USAF crash boats and later Master of the 
562 ton FP supply ship based in Japan during the war we did have Japanese 
crew members serving with us as civilians. However, when the vessels were in 
Korea the Japanese were not permitted to set foot on Korean soil. These were 
all excellent people. For example; my Third Mate, "Mr. Eno" had been the 
Captain of a Japanese cruiser during World War Two.
