Yep, I could see it coming....

Well, thank you for the compliment. I consider it a true honor to be
mentioned in the same sentence as Ed! ;-)

Wow, that would take a book to explain! Basically (and I'm talking real
basic here) it went like this,
June 1950 to August 1950: Basic TOE with losses being replaced at a semi
regular pace to maintain TOE.
August 1950 to Chinese intervention: Decimation of almost all KPA units
committed to battle. No attempt to maintain original TOE. Units established
or reformed in name only.
Chinese Intervention to end of 1952: Reinforcement of existing units and a
basic attempt to provide minimum TOE levels for infantry and artillery
units. Creation of new, or re-establishment of old, GHQ and Corps level
combat (and some combat support) units.
1952 to end of War: New TOEs, effort to build frontline units to full TOE
with support elements. Establishment of new, but under strength, rear area
units using new TOE as a guideline. Establishment of new GHQ and Corps
combat, combat support, and service support units to new TOEs.
