October 15

With the Jumch'on Pocket reduced, 8th Army's drive into North Korea 
began.  Following air strikes on Namch'onjom, the 2nd Battalion, 7th 
Cavalry, attacked, taking the town by noon. To the west the 24th Division 
started moving toward the port of Haeju. To the east of the 1st Cavalry, 
the ROK 1st Division began moving north.

5th Air Force Headquarters moves to Seoul.
