The 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry led the attack out of Namch'onjom and by 
noon had taken Sohung, 17 miles to the northwest.  To the west the 21st 
Infantry, 24th Division advanced toward Haeju.

ROK ground forces in the Wonsan area attack north and east of the town to 
take the peninsula which jutted south at the north end of the harbor.

The 7th Infantry Division continued to outload at Pusan.
