Class for ListProc list owners
Hello,
Academic Computing Services is offering a class specifically for
new ListProc list owners (and *only* for list owners) or list owners who
feel they need a course in "the basics." New list owners are *strongly*
encouraged to attend. Registration is *required* (see below).
LISTPROC FOR NEW LIST OWNERS Wednesday, October 25, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.,
Computer Center Auditorium
Designed for new KU ListProc list owners, this class is a hands-on
introduction to the ins and outs of discussion list management. The course
begins with an overview of the way ListProc works, the many ways that
lists can be configured, and list owner responsibilities. You learn the
basic syntax of ListProc commands; practice making and editing your
welcome file; and practice adding and deleting subscribers. The course
also covers common error situations as well as a few tips and tricks. Each
participant receives a ListProc Owner's Manual. This course is required
for new list owners.
Prerequisites: Each participant must currently be an owner of a ListProc
discussion list at KU.

This course requires pre-registration for all participants. Please contact
