The only air field I know of that was over run, was during the Chinese
Counter Offensive of 22 April 1951. The base was to the rear of the 5th
RCT and the pilots were awakened so that they could move the light observer
planes to safety. I remember being told that many of the pilots flew the
planes without shoes. Where that field was at, I have no idea.
