especially less "weighty" than the two volume Bruce
Cumins "Origins",

you might also try these:

1] The Korean War in History	(Ed, Janes Cotton & I. Neary]

2]  Foreign Internvention in Korea	(Gye-Dong Kim]

	For a different spin on the origins and involvement of
	US/UN forces  in the war.

3] From Pusan to Panmunjom		[Gen. Paik Sun Yup, ROKA]

	For a Korean generals perspective, especially negotiation
	period late in the war - not a negotiation history, more on
	potential for alternative outcomes.
