One S.Korean reporter estimated
about 4,000. In any case, these executions
were carried out over three days, and
witnessed by none other than the US military
attache at the US Embassy. These secret
photos werre sent to the Pentagon but never
shown to others until they were discovered by
a Korean researcher at the National Archives in 1999.
Yes, there were some massacres committed by
North Korean side too. I am not trying to defend their
deed. Regardless who committed the massacres, we
need to set the record straight. We should be all ashamed
if our official military history is misleading and full of holes.
As for history, I think we need to revise it constantly
as new evidences develope. Otherwise, history will be too boring.
