Re: First appearance MiG-15s
I have a copy og a U.S. Naval Dispatch dated 30 Sept 1950 from Admiral John Thatch's
personal file in Pensacola that states:
"From: COM 7TH FLT To: CTG 96.8/FEAF/COMNAVFE/CTF90
URGENT READDRESSED FROM: CTF 77 TO: 7TH FLT INFO-5TH AF ADVHDQ/CG 10TH ARMY
AT 0730 SIGHTED JET AIRCRAFT SWEPT BACK WIGS POINTED NOSE AND WING TIPS X BLUE
POSITION LAT 38-00 NORTH LONG 126-30 EAST COURSE SOUTH BT"
At that longitude and latitude is the Korean city of Kaesong.
