Hey Jay, I was with the 143rd Field Artillery Battalion, B battery, in
support of the 40th DIVISION, The California National Guard, I arrived in
Korea about February, 52. Was a forward observer for three months, then an
air artillery observer in one of those small Cessna L-19 or Piper Cub--never
sure which model it was and then brought back to the Battery as Executive
officer for my last 6 months, got my 33 points and came home thank God with
no problems at the end of February, 53. a classmate of mine from OCS was a
prisoner of war for one year and MY GOOD friend also who lives near me in
Carlisle, PA. we get together with 3 other classmates of ours who also live
in PA,they also were artillery men also. Very pleased that you responded to
my message to Ed--hope to hear from you again---Sincerely, George Foy
