letters/movies
Hello all,
I believe I introduced myself a couple of months ago and here I am again.
I'm working on a documentary for the PBS series, The American Experience, on
letters from American soldiers home from war, spanning from the Revolutionary
War through the Gulf War.
We have collected most of the letters we will be using, but are searching for
a good "training" letter from the Korean War - written from a soldier in the
midst of training. If any of you have letters in your attics or know of a
good source for letters from the Korean War, I'd be grateful to hear from you.
Also, we have been collecting home movie (super-8) footage taken in Vietnam.
I don't know if any men took home movie cameras to Korea, but would be very
interested to see footage if it exists. I do believe some families had home
movies cameras in the early 50s and am very interested to find homefront
footage from that time. I'd be grateful for any leads.
Many thanks,
Melissa Adelson
