Some members of our lists have reported that their machines have
become infected with the SNOW WHITE WORM, This worm has been
spreading since 15 December and has been covered by most virus
protections programs since 20 December at the latest.. 

The SNOW WHITE WORM is spread in the usual fashion - through
.exe or .scr attachments to downloaded e-mail. It affects only
machines employing Windows 95,98 and 2000.

SNOW WHITE is rather benign, its only operation being to send
copies of itself to the entire address book. Given that the word
HYBRIS often appears in the subject line, SNOW WHITE may be
another of those worms that have begun to appear the major
purpose of which appears to be to encourage users to install and
and regularly update an antivirus program
