To all concerned =
re info on medics at Chipyong-ni
Probably the best source of info on this subject will be a retired
medical corps officer living in North Carolina = one Col Robert Hall, MD,
chair of the Archives and Medical History Committee of the Society of
Medical Consultants to the Armed Forces. Col Hall has been fighting a
battle, perhaps still going on, to get the Army to correct medical
records concerning some critical comments about the operations of 23rd
RTC medical personnel at the battle of Chipyong-ni.
When I was editor of the KWVA Graybeards back in 94, I ran an article on
him and his efforts (page 31, issue of Oct/94)..On a trip south
afterwards I stopped off and visited him one morning at his home (200
Transylvania Ave., Raleigh NC, 27609 - tel 919-781-5715). Col Hall was
deeply involved in his struggle and in touch with many Army high and
historical sources. A contact with him may prove to be about as
productive as any that could be made.
Good luck - if anyone wants a copy of the Graybeards one page article, I
will try to scan and E Mail as an attachment upon request.
