Martin:

Until I can get to my reference material, here is some info on Seoul City
Sue for you.

On August 16, 1950, "Seoul City Sue, the North Korean radio personality who
tried to demoralize United States forces with discouraging remarks, began
broadcasting her radio show.

On August 20, 1950, The 1st Cavalry Division set up radio stations in
Taegu, Pusan and Masan to play "news, hillbilly and swing music." The
stations were meant to compete against music and propaganda from "Seoul
City Sue," the Korean War's version of Tokyo Rose.

"Seoul City Sue",a gentle-voiced woman, would read the names off of dog
tags from killed American soldiers on the air with soothing music playing
in the backgound. This action was meant to depress American GI's.

On August 27, 1950, "Seoul City Sue was identified as American-born Mrs.
Anna Wallace Suhr, wife of a Korean newsman, by the Methodist Missionary
Organization. The group says that Suhr, in her mid-40s, is a former
missionary schoolteacher in Korea, and had tutored American diplomats'
children in Seoul. Methodists also claim the dull tone of her broadcasts is
proof that she is being forced to do them. GIs have given her the nickname.
