Hi Ed-

   Wow! on the news tonight, spy plane downed by Chinese jets. I just talked 
to an old buddy in Maryland who is retired from the Agency. We both got a 
chuckle.
   De Ja Vous? are we in a time warp? I thought that was part of history. 
What's going on here? Maybe they'll take us back. I'm ready. :-)
   BTW translated excerpts from Tajnopis v istorii rossii (Cryptology in the 
History of Russia) by Tatyana A. Sobolyeva (Moscow 1994) dealing with the 
Soviet COMINT  is available from the recently opened Russian government 
achieves.
