Korean medal

Hi all-

   Hey, I had lunch the other day with an old friend and he told me he got a 
medal from the South Korean government with a form letter from the President 
of South Korea thanking him for service during the Korean War. This was not 
the Korean Service Medal with the blue ribbon we all received.
   I know this subject came up before but can someone give us the paticulars 
and who to write. 
   Heck, I'd like to get one if it is available to us.
