Re: The Korean War in Cinema
Perhaps one reason not cited for the lack of Korean War movies, (unless I
missed reading it) is that in the early 50s television was just making its
inroads into the American home. The facination with TV may be a contributing
factor to the lesser number of movies not only for the Korean War, but other
subject matter as well. Virtually overnight, movie theatres were filled, not
with paying customers, but empty seats.
