Thanks for the interesting story!

This is first time I ever heard of such killing.

Can you tell me which unit you belonged?

ANSWER: 1st Platoon, Baker Company, 1st Battalion,
1 Marine Rgt., 1st Marine Division

Was your unit following other US units or
the most advance unit?

ANSWER: On that day we were assigned to guard the
right flank as the main body moved up the main road so
as a flanking unit we were the most advanced unit on the
right flank.

Do you recall who visited the scene from the higher up?

ANSWER: No, but there were a lot of them. I do not believe
they were from the battalion level because we were guarding
the battalion as it marched up the road.  They could have
been from the regiment level, but I don't think so. Judging from
all those new fancy helicopters they came in, it would be my best
guess that they came from at least the division level, but more
probably they were from the corps level (X Corps).  Please remember
that I am only speculating where they came from.
