There were three UDT teams in Korea, team 1, 3 and 5. They were used
extinsively in recon and demolition raids behind enemy lines. I was in UDT
1 from 1950-52. We spend 17 months in Korea and made over 200 combat beach
recons and three night demo raids on rail lines as much as 250 miles behind
existing lines in August, 1950. Other teams were also used extensively.
There is a dearth of information on the UDT's in current literature. About
the only limited coverage is in Haas' In the Devils Shadow.

Hi Jack,
Interesting info!
When did your unit arrive in Korea?
Was your unit the first one to arrive?
How many were in your unit?
Were these units under the supervision of
Naval Forces, Far East?
