Both run on diesel, although I can't help you with sulphide content or anything
like that, but I imagine it would have been pretty good by modern standards -
the T-34s V12 motor was a sophisticated fuel-injected design based on an aero
engine.  But its fuel was quite flammable too as diesel goes - there are very
reliable accounts of the external fuel drums being set alight by small arms
fire.
