Re: WANNABE HUNTERS

Quite a good article.  We had someone in our Special Forces and
Special Operations Assocs. who just recently dropped out when the Assocs.
confronted him with a demand to show some documentation to support his
SpecOps claims.  Somehow he apparently slipped through the net years back.
This guy, Jim Hawke, has attained quite a position over the years with the
State of Nevada government.

I'd love to look at his initial application form for employment--see
what if any are his claims of Vietnam service in SpecOps are--but of course
that ain't gonna happen.  Odd thing is, he worked quite hard in the SOA, even
serving on committees.  Neither Assoc. has chosen to do anything with the
fakes they expose, other than to kick them out of the organization.  The
SEALs as the article notes, are more agressiveness in presenting these guys
with a pricetag for their affront.

The whole concept is so foreign to me.  The only thing I can figure is
that they start the lie early in life to get ahead--or get into someone's
pants--and they just can't stop after that.  Wonder what they're thinking as
they come to the reunions, shake hands, gain people's trust, lie to the other
members, their wives, their children.  Spooky.
