Ripped from the womb of retrospection.
   I was stationed at a base, I can't remember where, where Airborne troops 
ran, well actually jogged, by my window every morning at 5 or 6 o'clock. They 
ran 5 or maybe 10 miles every morning before breakfast in tee shirts, pants 
and boots. And they actually sang songs all the way...just like they were 
having fun. Crazy, wonderful bastards. I'll never forget that.
