Re: G.I. "parolees?" status



Actually not assigned to Berlin - assigned to a JSITF  (Joint Special
Intelligence Task Force) and we pretty much travelled wherever we needed to,
with priority orders.  Had no problems hopping a flight to Berlin.  But as
you say, Intel, or even non-intel with certain accesses personnel could not
"VISIT" Berlin!!  Several SFers with 10 SFG at B.Tolz were prohibited from
travelling to Berlin.  
For the edification of those who aren't familiar with the "whys & wherefores"
of that, it wasn't Berlin that was the problem it was having to pass THROUGH
East Germany to get there!
