Ron, in answer to your question about drugs in Korea over halve the enlisted 
men in my outfit had needles syringes on there person when they came back 
from R&R with penicillin vials. Somehow the powers to be found out about it 
EVERY BODY IS ON DRUGS! When the platoon leader 2nd lt. came around checking 
feet for frost bite they also checked your arms for needle tracks. come to 
find out we did not have one drug user in our outfit. But a bunch over sexed 
G.I.s if you came up with a dose vadoakee [probably misspelled] you lost your 
stripes so you packed a syringe kit or drug kit. Medics reported all cases.
