Folks

All of the polls ever taken can and probably has been manipulated to suit the 
person own opinions.
The polls on Korea was no exception. Again the people did not get behind the 
effort as in WW2.   paper drives, food rationing, gas cards and many other 
things made everyone feels as if they had a part in the war effort. For Korea 
some of the things happening did not really make news. We did have the USO 
and when I left Korea the Red Cross was on hand to sell us coffee and 
doughnuts. 
about half the guys cussed them out and did not buy anything.
The press and the polls only show what they want the American people to 
believe. They believe if people think the majority of the people believe one 
way they will jump on the wagon also.
