Country philosophy

Hi all-

   Let's go back 50 years ago again to the far recesses of our memory;
   How come we kids were such great country philosophers at such a young age? 
And some of the guys were experts at verbalizing our emotions.
   How about, "f___ me, I'll never cry again." And this one I used to hear 
all the time, "I feel like I've been shot at and missed and shit at and hit."
   I know you guys know a lot more of them when you remember.
