Yongsan Garrison's heritage center tells stories of war, heroes, Honor

(EXCERPT) YONGSAN GARRISON — There were 131 Medals of Honor awarded
for the Korean War, 94 of them posthumously.

Karl Swanson, a staff historian for U.S. Forces Korea, can recite by
heart the circumstances under which nearly every award was given as he
walks past photos of the recipients on display at the William F. Dean
Heritage Center at Yongsan Garrison in Seoul.

"Every one of these stories is incredible, without exception," Swanson
