   Yes Cookie, the Brie and Chabis crowd could never get over the fact the a 
"tail gunner", yuk, and ordinary slob like McCarthy (and BTW, Robert K. also) 
could be right about intellectual subversives who were indeed enemies and a 
danger to our country.
   But he was right on and he did our country a service in a kind of perverse 
way. That fact has been proven conclusively by the History Channel :-)
