Re: Argentine misplaced sympathy

MY REPLY TO Diego ..........and John2's kiss-up agreement........

Thank you for your sideways sympathy, but you have NO IDEA what America and American's are, or are about.
First, we are NOT in fear of these terrorists - in fact, they now must have GREAT fear from what we will do to them.  You hope the US of A will "Grow up?"    This from a country that embraced Nazism in the 30s & 40s, and into the 50's?  From a country whose history of dictators murdering and torturing their OWN people for decades??  Sir, I feel no need to accept your version of our "faults" as you call them.   All of the unfortunate incidents you mentioned were part of wars - military actions directed at other military forces and sanctioned by the United Nations.  As unfortunate as they were, they pale  in comparison to what happened on September 11th;  acts that were from the planning stage directed at innocent civilians.  I'm sorry that you are unable to intellectually understand the difference.
Has America made mistakes?  Certainly. Are we untouchable? Certainly not.  Remember the Maine - Pearl Harbor - now, World Trade Towers.....and the results only made American stronger.
Your implication that we think we can bomb or do anything that we want to other peoples and countries without retaliation is another indication of your total and complete lack of knowledge and understanding of America and her people.  Where you got that I have no way of knowing, but it sounds much like something you read in a propaganda pamphlet.  Ignorance is such a terrible thing to have to live with.
Lastly, Diego, we, the United States of America, are NOT on our knees, never have been, and never will be.  That's a fantasy in your mind, and I'm sure in certain others minds.  If you are upset with all of the things that you feel are our "faults" , then I believe you will be HIGHLY upset when you see what we will do to those who are responsible for this insane act of blind terrorism.  Hopefully, your partial blindness will clear up.
In the meantime, I'd recommend you not piss off the Brits again, as they tend to lash out and bring pain to those that have pissed them off.
God Bless America, the ONLY land of the free on this earth.
