I do not have my references handy but I think IRT Taiwain they did not
actually offcer to commit troops to the Korean Peninsula I think they
their offer was to attack the PRC (which was one of the reasons the 7th
Fleet initially deployed to the Taiwan Straits right after the Korean
War began.
