US Exports

Arms sales are a minute portion of US exports. This information is freely
available at your local library. A lot of US income is derived from
"invisible exports" -- financial transactions -- as New York is the
second-most-important financial center in the world and this brings in huge
chunks of money by itself. We also export technology -- almost all of the
high-tech gadgetry we buy is made overseas -- but the patents are owned in
the US, a reward for our extensive and intensive research and development
base.
And then there IS entertainment, a comodity now almost entirely US-owned.
Every time a Schwarzenegger film is a hit in India or Taiwan or South
Africa, profits pour into Hollywood, USA.
Food? Sure, we export some. But we sell a LOT of other things overseas!
