RE: Interview with MiiG Ace of the Korean War

Hello all,

For the past four years I have been doing research in the archives at the
Russian Central Archives of the Ministry of Defense in Podolsk, Russia and
conducting interviews of former servicement assigned to the Soviet 64th
Fighter Aviation Corps. From all the thousands of documents I have read and
studied, the most likely candidate for shooting down Hal Fischer is Sr. Lt.
Grigorij Nesterovich Berelidze, a flight commander with the 224th Fighter
Aviation Regiment, 32nd Fighter Aviation Division. Ermakov was Berelidze's
regimental commander, but has no claims for 7 Apr 53. Hope this helps.

FYI

December's issue of Military History has an interview with Han Decai,
MiG-15 pilot during the Korean War. He and Major Dmitri Yermakov both
claim to have shot down Hal Fischer.
