JACK was the cover designation for the CIA operation in Korea. FEAF/TAG
was under Far East Air Force, not JACK although they did some operations
from JACK as did the 8th Army G-3 Miscellaneous Group, 8086th AU, and later
Far East Command Liaison Group's Guerilla Division and Combined Command
Reconnaissance Activities, Korea, both 8240th Army Unit. The late 1950 -
1951 island clearing operations were carried out primarily by Donkey Units
(partisan groups) under first, the Miscellaneous Group and then the
Guerrilla Division when Far East Command absorbed the Miscellaneous Group,
11 Dec 1951. The 6004th AISS (Air Intelligence Services Squadron -- Major
Nickols' unit and under FEAF) did occupy a few very small islands on their
own but mostly operated from islands held by Donkey units. And so on...
