Hey Judy, stick around and learn.  You are the student, we are the teachers, otherwise, how will you learn.   Not everything is in text books.  I am positive that the veterans know more about what took place in Korea than are in files, records or military secrets.  Plus, you will help in keeping The Forgotten War, from being forgotten.

I have been working on my own book since 1993 just using what I remember about what happened in Korea.  The rewrite is what is time consuming.  Mine will consist mostly about the funny incidents that happen in one company, with a mention or two of how some of my friends died.

Just like the time we had a beer ration of 20 cans per man come up on the hill just as the CCF were about to launch an attack and how we......    OOPS,  now I am giving one of the funny stories away if I continue.   Maybe you will get to read it in the book one day, The Domino Blue Ridge Runners of M co. 5th RCT.
