New W.E.B. Griffin novel set in Korean War

W.E.B. Giffin's (William E. Butterworth) new novel, UNDER FIRE, will be
released next week. This is the 9th book in his "The Corps" series. I
received an advance copy and found it very enjoyable.

All previous "The Corps" novels have been set in World War Two. In UNDER
FIRE begins just prior to the beginning of the Korean War and uses a
(fictional) intelligence failure event that allowed the North Koreans to
catch us with our pants down, plus the sad state of the military at that
time as the opening, following with a excellent description of mauling our
troops received during the opening days, finishing with a fictionalized,
but more-or-less accurate, account of a little known, highly successful
special operation to clear the Inch'on Approach Islands of North Koreans
prior to Inch'on Landing by U.S. X Corps.

The main thing to remember if you read it, it is a FICTION novel.
